Role: Marketing Manager
Role Band: R2
Reporting To: Country Manager Location: Jamaica
Objective: Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring improvement in market share of the assigned brand. To manage top line and bottom line by leveraging promotional budget of brands. To facilitate the field to the art and science behind the brands
Key Responsibilities:

  • Top Line & Bottom Line Achievement:
  • Ideate and formulate Brand Strategy
  • Identify and explore opportunities for Brand Building

New Product Launch:

  • Identify and Analyse Market Potential for New Product Launch
  • Supervise discussions regarding viability with Finance Team
  • Administer Sales Projection and sampling plan
  • Monitor Promotional Activities
  • Ensure regional launch meetings for the new product

Field Work:

  • Supervise team’s joint work with Field employees
  • Process Compliance:
  • Monitoring the team for effective implementation of Brand Promotion activities

Operating Network:

  • The position reports to the Country Manager. It will have constant interface with Sales Managers, Packaging, GDC, NPD, Dispatch, Demand Planning, SSC etc.
  • Externally the position needs to work with various partners like the Ad Agencies, Vendors, Suppliers, Event Management Agencies
  • Education and Experience:
  • Required Education: Graduate (Science/Pharmacy) with MBA. Ideally M. Pharma with MBA

Minimum Experience:
At least 6-8 years of experience out of which 1-2 years in Pharma sales followed by at least 2- 3 years in a Product Management role
Exposure to similar market would be an added benefit

Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate on daily basis with vendors on various inputs
Influencing Skills: Should have the ability to influence variety of layers within the organization on various aspects of a brand. Should also be able to gain the mindshare of the Field Force
Planning Skills: Ability to plan and strategize communication of multiple produces and deliver results according to plan
Networking Skills: Ability to network in the company as well as in the industry
Leadership Skills: Ability to manage a team and provide purpose and direction to them. Ability to mentor the team mates and cascade strategies for deriving desired results
Analytical Ability: Ability to identify gaps in the market and strategizing positioning of products. Ability to interpret CMARC Rx trend and present data. Ability to take challenges for attaining breakthrough achievement through customized campaigns and marketing interventions
Innovation/Creativity: Ability to Idette and execute new initiatives to bring novelty to brand promotions. Should also possess ability to create alternatives
Business Acumen: Understands the business landscape and organizational direction and applies the same to align all activities.
Prioritization and time management: Multitasking and ability to handle innovative and operational task at the same time
