The Central Research institute of Unani Medicine (CRIUM), Hyderabad- a decentralized institute functioning under the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), MINISTRY OF AYUSH, Government of India. It was established in December, 1971 under the erstwhile Central Council for Research Indian Medicine and Homeopathy (CCRIMH), which was set up in 1969. On the split of the CCRIUMH into four independent Councils in 1978, the CRIUM, Hyderabad continued functioning under the CCRUM) with the objective of undertaking scientific research on various aspects of Unani system of medicine.

Terms & Conditions
1. The above posts are purely temporary and orvjn the proforma
2. The candidate shall submit applications at the time of interview in the proforma enclosed along with a passport size photograph and a set of self attested copies of requisite mark-sheet, certificates and supporting documents
3. The candidate have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for verification.
4. NO TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
5. The relaxation in upper age limit is permissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
6. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment/absorption at the end of the Project. .
7. Report for registration from 9.30 A.M. to 10.30 A.M. on the date of Interview.
8. The decision of the competent authority is final and binding in all aspects.

About Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine:
The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Since its establishment in 1978, the CCRUM as the apex government organization for research in Unani Medicine has been engaged in conducting scientific research on the applied as well as fundamental aspects of Unani system of medicine. Consequently, over the past four decades of its existence, the Council has made significant strides in clinical research, drug standardization, survey and cultivation of medicinal plants, and literary research. Besides, research-oriented health extension services, and information, education and communication (IEC) activities have also been part of the Council’s programmes. With the efforts of over 300 scientists and technical manpower at its 23 research centres spread across the country, the Council has won appreciation from various quarters for its patents which are eight in number, innovative research outcomes, and scientific publications.
The Council under its clinical research programme has so far conducted studies on a number of investigational drugs besides validating several pharmacopoeial formulations in different disease conditions at its research centres and in collaboration with other scientific institutions.
The Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine (CRIUM), Hyderabad is the most celebrated institute of the Council which has earned fame for treatment of vitiligo (Baraṣ) and other chronic and stubborn diseases. The CRIUM, Lucknow has attained good repute for research and development of treatment for musculoskeletal disorders. The Regional Research Institute of Unani Medicine (RRIUM), Chennai is the major research centre known for treatment of infective hepatitis and other chronic liver diseases. The RRIUM, Bhadrak has developed safe and effective treatment of filariasis (Dā’ al-Fīl). The RRIUM, Srinagar has conducted research on respiratory disorders and has been awarded a patent for development of drug for bronchial asthma. The scientific institutions that collaborate with CCRUM include Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute (VPCI), Lady Harding Medical College, Deccan Medical College, Jamia Hamdard, Institute of Integrated Medicine (IIIM), Jamia Millia Islamia and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University.
In the area of drug standardization, the Council has developed pharmacopoeial standards for 298 single drugs and 100 compound formulations which have been published in Unani pharmacopoeia of India. Besides, six volumes of National Formulary of Unani Medicine have also been revisited recently for bringing out their revised addition.
