The Directorate of Medical Education ensures the smooth functioning of all medical colleges and attached teaching hospitals, nursing schools and nursing colleges.
The main functions and services of the Directorate are:
1.To provide Specialist Medical Care and medical facilities to people through hospitals.
2.To impart quality Medical Education to undergraduates, P. G. and Super Speciality post graduates through Medical Colleges and Teaching hospitals.
3.To provide training in para-medical courses like nursing and medical and laboratory technology, etc. through Medical Colleges and Teaching Hospitals
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for appointment as Hospital Administrators (Managers) on contract basis in all teaching Govt. General Hospitals in A.P. ( those who have already applied vide previous notification, Dt. 29.1.2016 of this office need not to apply again, and their applications will be examined once again as per G.O. Rt. Duties and responsibilities.
1.Formulating standard operating procedures for quality systems in hospitals.
2.Assessment and gap analysis of quality systems in hospital.
3.Providing technical assistance on NABH application process.
4.Technical assistance towards NABH protocols and accreditation programe.
5.conducting quality and Accreditation awareness and education programs.
6.Undertake other relevant assignments, which may be assigned from time to time.
7.They will assist the Superintendent in day to day administration.
8.Any other related work entrusted by the Superintendent / Principal concerned Hospital / Medical college.
